I spent an hour and a half having a seawatch this morning in a light north wind. Not much on the move in quite sunny conditions but I did see 6 Shelduck east, 4 Oystercatcher, 1 Arctic Skua west, 23 Black headed Gull, 1 Mediterranean Gull, 1 Common Gull, c78 Herring Gull, 2 Great Black backed Gull, 59 Sandwich Tern including one that was chased and caught by a Peregrine again. This is the second time in a week that I have seen a Peregrine chasing and catching a Sandwich Tern. How many others are they catching I wonder? There were 9 Cormorant, 1 Kestrel west at sea, 3 Carrion Crow and c10 Starling. The past few night have been too windy for 'nocmig' recording so hopefully now the wind had dropped, I can get it out again tonight. Still waiting for that goody!
