With a light NW wind and the tide quite high, I had a brief seawatch on Saturday which produced 175 Brent Geese, 2 Wigeon, 24 Gannet (39) mostly west with a few returning east, 3 Feral Pigeon, 10 Woodpigeon, 1 Redshank, 5 Turnstone, c400 Black headed Gull, 10 Common Gull, 7 Herring Gull, 1 Great Black backed Gull, 7 Common Scoter (40), 2 Great crested Grebe, 29 Red throated Diver, c50 Cormorant, 2 Magpie, 1 Carrion Crow, 4 House Sparrow and 3 Meadow Pipit. I then had a brief look in the Glen and a walk along the seawall which produced 1 Shelduck, 12 Woodpigeon, 5 Collared Dove, 5 Redshank, 25 Sanderling, c200 Black headed Gull, 1 Great Black backed Gull, 2 Magpie, 3 Carrion Crow, 4 Blue Tit, 5 Great Tit, 1 Long tailed Tit, 2 Goldcrest (41), 2 Firecrest (42), 1 Wren (43), 2 Blackbird, 3 Robin, 1 House Sparrow and 1 Jay (44).
I had a 45 minute walk around this morning in thick sea fog with visibility down to c50 yards. The only birds of note were 1 Brent Goose, 7 Redshank which at least showed well for a few photos, 4 Turnstone and a few Black headed and Common Gull just offshore.

    1. Good to hear from you Pete. In all fairness, I've only just in the past few weeks started to advertise it but thank you for your visit. A site full of potential if I can get used to all the others which use this area...which if I'm honest, I'm finding quite hard at the moment. Take care.
