With a brisk ENE wind this morning, I didn't fancy getting blown along the seawall so opted for a sheltered seawatch for a few hours. Birds noted included 3 Shelduck, 1 immature male Eider east, 15 Common Scoter, 14 Oystercatcher, 7 Whimbrel, 4 Turnstone, 7 Black headed Gull, 30 Mediterranean Gull east, 19 Common Gull, 3 Great Black backed Gull, 3 Lesser Black backed Gull, 7 Great crested Grebe, 1 Gannet, 24 Cormorant, 1 Peregrine, 1 Swallow west at sea and 2 Linnet.

  1. To be honest, I wouldn't have wanted to be blown along the seawall either Marc, and 30 Mediterranean Gull sounds more like it from a sheltered area too.

    1. Certainly the right choice. I just needed a flask and it would have been perfect. Take care.
